Finally an affordable alternative to Amal concentric ‘Premier’ carbs! We can’t say enough about these Wassell ‘evolution’ carbs. Engineered to be dimensionally the same as Amals but at substantially less cost. In service we’ve found them to be every bit as good as their expensive Amal cousin! Like the Amal Premier carbs they come standard with Viton float needles, stay up floats, anodized throttle slides and removable/replicable idle jets for fine tuning the low end.
They are specifically supplied for use on Norton twin carb models with #3.5 throttle slide, .106 needle jet 260 main jets and the very specific ‘chopped’ spray tubes. Not also the cut mounting flange for Commandos. Yes, you can use your existing Amal jets in these carbs.
