  • Condition: This fan is in acceptable vintage condition. It shows its age, with several worn spots, and a few tears in the paper. These tears and worn spots are mainly at the folded edges.     Description

    This is a large, vintage folding fan, made of bamboo and paper. It is hand-painted, and made for hanging on a wall. It has red and gold painted bamboo slats, and black paper, hand-painted with birds and pink flowers, possibly cherry blossoms. It also has some character writing on it, but we do not know for sure what is written. We also do not know the country of origin, or what culture is represented.
    It measures 36" tall, and about 58" wide, when open.
    This fan is in acceptable vintage condition. It shows its age, with several worn spots, and a few tears in the paper. These tears and worn spots are mainly at the folded edges. There are also some minor scratches in the paint on the bamboo. Please see our photos for more details. We have done our best to show all condition issues in the photos.
