    Rare vintage Burmese Kalaga handmade tapestry, beaded wall hanging figural artwork. Guaranteed authentic in excellent condition. This is a very beautiful vintage artwork with very unique light colors, original and made in Burma. The art piece is framed with an expensive clear and thick PET box frame with white background. The artwork looks really great and it has no damage. I have paid 0.00 for it's box frame. If the buyer do not want the box frame I will reduce the price 0.00 and will ship it without box worldwide.     It is very detailed and well made with different figural artworks such as Elephant, Horse and Women. It is decorated and embroidered with beads, sequins and glass beads with 3 D pattern.
    The word (Kalaga) which means (curtain) comes from the Burmese language, although Burmese refer to such tapestries.
    The culture of Myanmar (also known as Burma) (Burmese) has been heavily influenced by Buddhism. This tapestry uses a sewing technique called (Shwe Gyi.).
    Kalaga art form emerged during the (Konbaung) dynasty in the mid-19th century and reached it's zenith during the reign of (Mindon Min). This is a hand stitched rectangular panel with box frame size (36.250" x 54.50") and main panel size (32" x 49").
