    "Korean traditional “Najeon chilgi”
Najeon chilgi is a traditional Korean artform of lacquerware inlaid with mother-of-pearl. The word "Najeon," or sometimes "Jagae," refers to the traditional Korean artistic technique of inlaying with mother-of-pearl.
The technique involves grinding, flattening and shaving the mother-of-pearl to give it a beautiful shimmer.
The word "chilgi" translates to lacquerware.
Najeon chilgi exhibits the harmony of yin and yang by bringing together the tree from high up in the mountains with the shells of the deep sea.
Legend has it that najeon-chilgi brings a family harmony, power and affluence; therefore, many royal families in the old Orient kept Najeon chilgi in their homes.
