I have been collecting vintage and antique Chinese beads for many years. These beads are absolutely beautiful! I just love the intricate and delicate etching / engraving with of an adorable bug or ladybug. The body of the bug seems to have tiny flecks of turquoise and shell that have been inlaid into the bone.  The bug is on one side and there are little patches of grass engraved on the reverse side. Chinese vintage beads carved from bovine bone into a flat coin shape. These beads measure approximately 16mm x 10mm size. The detail in these beads is just exquisite and and the kind of work you just don't see anymore. These would make very unique and beautiful earrings or as the centerpiece to a necklace or bracelet.
