    Description

Vintage And Very Rare Philippine Colonial Period Postcard: "Moros, Mindanao P.I."  The latter is printed in black letters on top.  Shows two rows of boys, twelve of them in all, regally dressed, topped with colorful, hand-made, elaborate crowns, each one of them distinctive, and brandishing deadly bows and arrows. It seems that Muslims train very young to become feral, brave fighters.  So it's no wonder that the Americans were never able to completely subdue much less conquer Muslim Mindanao - no one ever has, before or since.
This is the rarest of the rare.  It is also one of the most arrestingly beautiful group portraits of its kind ever, a masterpiece.  Taken by an unidentified American professional photographer during the American Occupation/Colonial Period (1900-1945).
    Standard Postcard size:  3.5 X 5.5 inches.
Fine.  Printed directly from the original negative that was handpainted.  The reproduction quality is outstanding: The handsome, vibrant colors are intact in this particular specimen.  Minute wear on corners.  NO sticker or paper residue on the back.
