  • Condition: This moisture meter is in good pre-owned condition. It has been tested, and works as it should. As you can see in photos, it powers on, reads moisture level, and both the "Hold" and "Rec" functions work. There was a tiny bit of corrosion in the battery compartment from a leaky battery, but it was not much, and cleaned up well. It obviously did not affect functionality of the meter at all. The meter does have cosmetic issues consistent with use and function, including surface dings and scratches, and some yellowing of the plastic on one side, due to sun exposure. There may also be a bit of dirt left behind in the cracks and seams of the plastic, despite my best effort at cleaning. Please see description and photos for more details.

    Description

    This is an Omega brand handheld digital soil moisture meter. It is model #HSM50. It measures approximately 15" in total length, and is about 1.5" in diameter at its widest point. The test probe itself is 8.5" long. The display window is about 7/8" wide by 1 1/8" tall.
    This meter requires 4 AAA batteries, which are NOT included. Please note, there is no manual with this meter. The manual for this meter is available as a free PDF on the manufacturer's website.
