Description
National Novelty Co cast iron gumball machineThis machine was made in Minneapolis Minnesota circa 1910
The machine is cast iron with the original dark blue paint. The bottom
lock has been replaced and it looks like a bit of grinding took place to make
the lock fit. The globe has a crack at the top where the padlock would have set and
it seems to be stable at it starts and ends under the hold-down ring. I can't
get the hold-down ring off, as the rubber gasket is stuck on it and I don't want
to force it. There is a partial decal that I can't make out.
I will pack the globe in a separate box to ensure safe delivery.
The machine is 13 inches tall with the base being about 7 inches in diameter.
It weighs in at 11 1/2 pounds....
This version of the machine is not in the Enes book, so I can't say how rare
it is.
I'm happy to answer any questions and take additional pictures.
