There is most likely nothing wrong with your fuel inlet fitting.
It is usually just the
(3)
o-rings
on the fuel inlet fitting
that have failed and are causing the fuel leak at the inlet to the carburetor.
This is a quick, inexpensive way to remedy that fuel leak.
