This is a penny operated Ford Gum and Machine gumball machine.  It was manufactured and purchased from Ford Gum and Machine Company in the late 1950s to the early-1960s.  It served an owner of a Ford Gum and Machine franchised field from then until the mid-1980s in North Carolina.
It is in working order with signs of use and a couple of minor blemishes.  Its finish is stainless steel & chromed steel.  It operates by use of either pennies or dimes and will reliably deliver a small (0.625 inch) sized Ford gum ball with every inserted coin.  The globe is GLASS and carries a Ford Gum & Machine decal.  An original metal plaque remains (from Lockport N.Y.  & Akron N.Y.) above the machine’s original spout with model number and trademark details.  It comes with a locking bar for use with a padlock.  Small padlock is also provided with (2x) keys.
GUM IS NOT INCLUDED.
