Definition of terms:
Backset
The distance from the edge of the door to the center of the lock hole (typical 2-3/8" or 2-3/4")
Single Cylinder Deadbolt
Keyed lock on outside of door and thumb turn on inside.
Double Cylinder Deadbolt
Keyed lock on both outside and inside of door.
Left Hand Door
When facing the outside of the door the hinges are on your left.
Right Hand Door
When facing the outside of the door the hinges are on your right.
Keyed Entry
Knob or handle can be locked with a key
Deadbolt
Separate lock in addition to a knob or handle.
Privacy
Can be locked from the inside only. No keys. (for bathrooms and bedrooms).
Passage
Cannot be locked (for halls and closets).
