Antique Vintage Turkish Ethnic Kilim Rug, Hand Woven, Colorful Embroidery, NICE!

Description

This is an Antique or Vintage Traditional Ethnic Turkish Kilim Rug. It starts out with a hand woven heavy canvas textile, and is then intricately hand embroidered to make it thick to serve as a rug or mat. It is beautiful, and is filled with customary symbols, with the crosses in the larger squares being the most obvious in this example.
It measures approximately 40” x 26”. One end is slightly narrower than the other, which occurred in the hand weaving process.
I am guessing that this dates to the early to mid 1900’s. Condition is mostly very good. It shows typical wear that would be expected, with raveled fringe and some darkening of canvas due to foot traffic. There are no real holes, no significant stains, and no significant fading.
