Antique Vantines1920's Metal 2 pc Cone INCENSE Burner Foo Dog VANTINES

Description

From the famous New York City import house of Ashley Abraham Vantine; a 1920's Vantines (#1014) metal cone incense burner in the form of a foo dog resting on a footed plinth. It is 3 1/8" in height, the footed plinth serving as the burner pan is 3 1/8" in diameter, and it displays minor soiling and moderate wear as illustrated. This piece has aged to a lovely patina. It is a worthy addition to an incense burner or treasured Vantine's collection.
Please note, this piece does smell like incense and has incense residue on the inside and on the base.  The base also does not sit evenly on all 4 feet, until the foo dog is placed on top.  The tip of the tail has been broken off, which I didn't notice until looking at other online pics of the piece.  Please see pics for details.
